Year 1 students start a studio recording project

In year one, students are taught how to use the sound studios through practical assignments and projects. Today the first year music technology students recorded guitar and bass guitars over a computer backing track. This involved using DI boxes and microphones in the sound recording studios. The next step will be to record a live drum kit in place of the backing / guide track.
