Kinky Leighton (BRSS) - Ableton Live Workshop
On Friday 16thof
March local DJ and music producer Kinky Leighton gave a workshop that
focused on the use of ‘Ableton Live’ software in live performance and production.
He demonstrated the techniques he uses when DJing and then picked apart one of
his latest music tracks so we could all see exactly how it was created. It was really cool to see Toby’s skills as a DJ / producer
and by in the software he uses to make music.
Toby also talked about his path into music production. He completed the BTEC Music
Technology at Strode College way 'back in the day' and went on to do a degree in the
subject. Since graduation he has performed at festivals and had his music
released on record labels. He is currently a key member of the Bridgwater Reggae
Sound System and is teaching DJ skills and Ableton Live software.
