BPM Trip - music tutor now fully into DUBSTEP
Music technology students studying at Strode College
travelled up to Birmingham NEC last Monday (October 3rd 2011) to
visit one of the largest music shows in the UK. The BPM show has now
established itself as being the place to go to if you are a music producer, DJ,
club owner, sound system company, live sound engineer, lighting engineer, music
educator or equipment developer.
DJ Switch |
Adrian Smith said ”This show is sure to inspire our students
by opening their eyes to the latest developments in technology and the employment
opportunities in the club music and music production areas of the industry. The
advice and guidance available direct from industry professional at BPM is
invaluable”
16 students made the trip to the NEC with their music tutor and enjoyed every minute.
A special shout goes out to Alex Constanza (Street), Olly
Beha-Burr (Street) and Sam Hiscox (Radstock) for providing the music on the bus
making the journey there and backs an enjoyable education into the Dubstep
genre.
There are opportunities at the show to try out and purchase equipment, get lessons, perform and enter competitions. The BPM show featured many companies; workshops, performances and DJs. Highlights included the back-to-back PA system showcase featuring Void Acoustics and Funktion One, performances by DMC champion DJ Switch and music production lessons from SAE.
