Strode students visit BPM Music Tech / DJ Show

BPM is Europe’s biggest event dedicated to DJing, electronic music production and club culture. It features an eclectic line-up of DJ sets and performances from big names and new talent. Every style of music is covered, with the emphasis on fresh ideas and innovative performance techniques.

BPM also incorporates an interesting and engaging programme of

educational seminars and panels from a variety of industry professionals

38 Strode College students traveled up to Birmingham NEC on the day to try the equipment and see the demonstrations. There was plenty to do including a ‘learning zone’ run by the School of Audio Engineering, large club style venue, demonstrations by top DJs as well as seminars on how to make the best use of music software packages. In the middle of the day they held a discussion with a group of professionals about finding jobs in the music industry.
